Town Danceboutique Presents: CRACK & COX
Upstairs at town you’ll have none other than DJ Chris Cox! Cox is a dance music producer, remixer, and DJ and has worked on over 400 records. He has had a total of 40 Billboard dance chart number ones as part of the hitmaking remix team Thunderpuss, and others with Pusaka and as a solo artist.
Before you dance your ass off with Cox how about some CRACK! This year CRACK produced variety shows that made fun of the nether regions of outer space and the bucolic lawns of suburbia. Now, DC’s edgiest theater group is saddling up for a wild trip to the western heartland!
It’s time for another outrageous CRACK variety show. On Saturday, October 17, CRACK is hosting an old-fashioned country jamboree at Town Danceboutique that will be packed with live performances, short films, audience participation, and improvisation. As usual, the bawdy show is hosted by the naughty drag queen SUMMER CAMP and features farmhands KARL JONES and CHRIS FARRIS.

EFN Lounge and Chi Chi LaRue host WET & WILD: A Fundraiser for the DC Strokes
The fundraiser will feature DJ Matt Bailer from Mixtape fame and with Chi Chi LaRue as your host you can expect some wet bulges.

HRC Phone Bank to Main Voters
On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30pm the HRC needs our help to make calls to Maine voters. Our opponents are attempting to repeal a state law that will allow Maine residents to enter into same-sex marriages. We have lost 34 times at the ballot box – including Prop 8 in CA — but Maine could be our first win! The HRC will provide dinner for all volunteers. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and it’s an easy way to get involved during a really critical time for our issues. For more information…DC never falls short on nightlife offerings and National Equality March weekend has ramped it up to a whole new level! I’ve picked out a few events happening around town tonight to highlight so take a look!
